Lupita Nyong'o is coming soon to a library near you. The actress is dipping her toes into the world of children's literature with a new book titled Sulwe, which is due out in January 2019 from Simon & Schuster for Young Readers. According to the New York Times, which broke the news Thursday, the picture book is about a 5-year-old Kenyan girl named Sulwe (which means "star" in Nyong'o's native language) who, as the darkest-skinned member of her family, wants to lighten her skin. Words of wisdom from her mother, however, eventually help Sulwe look at the idea of beauty from a new perspective.Nyong'o confirmed the project on Instagram on Thursday, writing, "I am pleased to reveal that I have written a children's book!... Kim Jones is exiting his position as men's artistic director of Louis Vuitton. The English designer will show his last collection for the brand in Paris on Thursday. The 44-year-old confirmed his departure on Instagram Wednesday. "Thank you @louisvuitton for 7 wonderful years!" he wrote. Jones also expressed his gratitude to former women's creative director Marc Jacobs for offering him the opportunity to join the Louis Vuitton family, as well as Delphine Arnault, the director and executive VP of LVMH. Jones joined the fashion house in 2011, replacing Paul Helbers, who had been with company for five years. Dresses and tuxedos worn by Reese Witherspoon, Meryl Streep, Tracee Ellis Ross and host Seth Meyers are among the looks that will be sold to benefit the organization which provides legal support for women across industries battling sexual harassment in the workplace.The auction will run from Jan. 19 through Jan. 26 (9 a.m. PST) at ebay.com/timesup, and each ensemble will have a starting price of $25.
